London Cocktail Crawls

As you have probably noticed, the last 8 months have been dedicated to posts about my trip to Thailand and Vietnam over the Christmas/New Year period.

But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been eating and drinking anything blog-worthy this year – I have! I have just failed miserably to write up anything 🙂

This post isn’t able to remedy that. It’s really just to flag up some wonderful cocktail bars H and I have been to during monthly “cocktail crawls”. These tend to start early afternoon and take in 4 – 6 stops including food before heading home while most peeps are just getting started!

Anyway we’ve been to some amazing London bars and I wanted to mention a few of our faves so far:

Peony  – A bar within a bar tucked away in Chinatown, with an awesome bartender and unusual drinks.

Bar Termini – A tiny casual Soho establishment with wonderful negronis served in delicate glasses.

Blind Pig – Hiding upstairs above the Social Eating House, crazy and creative drinks in a beautiful Soho setting.

Peg and Patriot – A passionate and friendly bartender creates fascinating drinks in Bethnal Green.

214 Bermondsey – This relaxed basement bar has a great array of gins.

Purl – I’ve only drunk in this Marylebone bar as part of a cocktail masterclass, but we made some drinks from the menu and it was brilliant.

White Lyan – Pre-mixed cocktails of unusual and inspiring design in a minimalist Shoreditch spot.

East London Liquor Company – These guys distil their own gin and whiskey in Bow, and the shiny equipment makes a beautiful backdrop to the bar.

Sorry there are no pics, but I hope to write some dedicated reports at some point in the future.
