Food Analysis: Peanut Butter Marshmallows

As I’ve stated many times before, I love chocolate and peanut butter. It doesn’t take a genius to guess that as well as loving those items together, I also love them separately.

While meandering around the internet I came across a company selling Peanut Butter Marshmallows. Some subtle signals to H (sending him the link and going “I want these!”) ensured their arrival amongst my Christmas presents, and I soon got round to sampling them.

I am quite fond of gourmet marshmallows (once I get past the price). These came from The Marshmallow Lady, and can be purchased online as well as via a few outlets.

The ingredients include peanuts and peanut oil, and on the website it mentions home-made peanut butter (which is great fun to make if you never have – whizz up peanuts in the processor for a long time and eventually the transformation occurs).

They were soft, pillowy and sweet, but the peanut flavour was a little too subtle for me. It was definitely there, and H thought it was well-balanced, however, so it’s clearly a personal preference.

I really want to try some of the other varieties such as Key Lime Pie and Millionaires’ Shortbread. If I get round to it, I’ll let you know!
