Do cocktails improve with a good view?
Distil at Lebua certainly puts this to the test. 64 floors up (and one above the stunning Sky Bar) is Distil, a bar in a dome.
Another day, another fancy Bangkok restaurant. We only had a brief stay in Bangkok before we headed on to Vietnam, and we had to cram as much into it as possible.
H’s dad had managed to book us in for lunch at one of the most celebrated restaurants in the city – Bo.lan.
As H and I were no longer penny-strapped travellers, I was really keen to splash out a bit on our recent Thailand trip.
This led to a great deal of research followed by some valiant booking efforts by H’s dad. The result? Celebrating New Year’s Eve at Issaya Siamese Club.
After checking into our hotel in Bangkok, we were ravenous and popped to a place we had spotted round the corner for lunch.
Every now and then I fancy ice-cream.
I don’t mow people down to get it. It isn’t my go-to comfort food. When I eat it I like it, but I am definitely more of a pastry/cake/pudding person.
Hot weather helps, but a winter cornet works too.
